Leaving Pará on April 24, Davidson and Crommelin arrived at Camocim on April 29 and departed the following day for their destination, the city of Sobral. In the 80-kilometer train that separated them from their destination, they had the pleasure of discovering a beautiful landscape, very different from what they would find in the place of the astronomical observations that would make them famous.
