Eddington and Cottingham felt very well in Madeira, with its moderate climate and a beautiful and varied landscape. Especially Eddington, who took the opportunity to take long walks either through the countryside or through the rocky beaches. Finally, on April 9th, the time arrived to embark on the ship Portugal towards Principe Island, after going through the islands of the Cape Verde.
